Ms. Powell also teaches dance at Western Technical College. Previously, she taught elementary students for two years. She primarily focused on helping younger children to develop their motor skills, spatial ability and cognition through movement, while honing the students' social skills by leading them in cooperative activities. Ms. Powell has two children and five grandchildren.
