The highlight of her career was receiving the Honorary Life Award from DECA, Inc. The most gratifying aspect of her career is knowing that she has touched the lives of thousands of students and has had an influence on their journey to success.

She attributes her success to encouraging students to reach their potential and, eventually, their goals in life.
Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
She became involved in her profession after hearing a presentation on marketing education at the University of Northern Iowa. She was also inspired by her mother, who was a teacher.

Ms. Laatsch's many accomplishments throughout her long and distinguished career include the development of seminars useful to local retailers in the areas of promotion and customer service. In addition, she is proud to have developed presentations for educational organizations and future business leaders in the areas of entrepreneurship, advisory committee composition and usage, and international educational travel.
