Throughout the duration of your career, what was the one highlight that stood out the most?:
Learning and practicing that to do the right thing is most often harder than doing things right.
It’s impossible to select just one thing that characterizes Corrado’s many successes. From serving on the Board of Trustees at his College, to delivering a $12 million renovation and new build project on time and on budget, to establishing a model facilities management program, Corrado sets a standard for excellence in facilities operations.

What Does He/She Attribute Success To:
He attributes his success to his family values which instilled work ethic. Driven to succeed, Corrado focuses relentlessly on the objective at hand, refusing to be daunted by even the most significant challenges. The word “can’t” simply is not in his lexicon.
Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
When I applied for an entry managerial position at the College, I thought I would be able to do something different than I had done so far, increase my work experience and broaden my skills. Once I started working here I realized that the work I do supports our students to achieve goals they would not normally aspire to. This has been a truly rewarding experience and continues to be such every day. I am quite fortunate to have this.
Extended Bio Profile:
Corrado early on learned that “committees are where ideas go to die.” Not content to follow the wisdom of the masses, he has established and continually pursues, his own objectives and destiny. In the process, he has distinguished himself from those same masses, and follows his own beat. Corrado is a solo parade, outmarching and outpacing his peers every day.
Corrado has a zeal to perform and to learn. He brings this intensity to every objective and interaction of every single workday, banishing the ordinary from his office, his relationships, and his professional life.
In 2004, Corrado managed a fast-track renovation and new build project comprising five new buildings and two additional, large-scale renovation projects, totaling in excess of $12M. The sheer range of building programs within this project was extraordinary, and included student residence rooms, academic classrooms, auditoriums, smart classrooms, and offices, and dining and kitchen facilities. The roughly 8-month project – from initial programming meetings to move-in day – finished on time and on budget, coinciding with the college’s 20th anniversary celebrations. LEEDS- qualified projects, these buildings won a prestigious AIA award for design-build excellence and carry a 5-Star Energy Star rating.
