She became involved in her profession because her son worked at Mountain High Pizza Pie Inc. when he was 16 years old. When he entered his third year of college, the owners of the pizza place decided to sell the business. He asked his mother if they could buy it, and she agreed to it if he finished college, which he did.

Ms. Hibbard and her son purchased Mountain High Pizza Pie Inc. 15 years ago. It is a family-run business; two of her daughters are company managers. Ms. Hibbard has been able to stay home for the past seven years and care for her eight grandchildren while their parents work. She is also a former member of the chamber of commerce. Ms. Hibbard is currently a foster parent for a 14-year-old girl.
