What Does He/She Attribute Success To:
He attributes his success to the training he received in the Louisiana State University graduate program in reproductive Physiology; and the opportunities and doors it opened to him to be able to further develop his skills in project management, research, cryopreservation, and working with people. These skills have contributed to his ability to understand infertility and the issues and anxieties individuals experience when having to choose donor gametes in order to have a healthy family. His laboratory background has led to further development of skills, techniques and understanding the processes of cryopreservation and long-term storage of human tissue.
Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
He became involved in his profession after his original path in animal reproduction and veterinary sciences did not lead to the opportunities and potential growth that the human artificial technologies area could provide. Many laboratory skills utilized in animal reproduction translate to use in humans and the need for skilled individuals trained in techniques of cryopreservation and storage were needed in the developing human infertility business in the early 1990s.
