She became involved in her profession accidentally, when she mistook a fitness club for a clothing store. She joined the club and took aerobics classes. She was so enthusiastic that the owner eventually offered her a job as an aerobics instructor.

Ms. Shands-Peoples has been in the health and fitness industry for 22 years. During breast cancer awareness month, different organizations contact her to conduct classes and attend special church events. Franchise owners of fitness clubs also solicit her advice and class instruction. Ms. Shands-Peoples also works nights as a machine operator for Sabra Dipping Co., LLC.

Providing personal aerobic training for different groups; Traveling to different health clubs, churches, and military bases to train clients; Remaining in-tune with all of the participants in her classes
