Extended Bio Profile:
Ms. Cade has had an extensive career in Internet and e-commerce issues and technology policy at AT&T. She is now an international consultant with a focus on the nexus of innovation, internet, and internet governance issues. She provides leadership, representation, and advocacy in the key issues of the changing role and nature of the internet. She participates in a number of global, international forums. She chairs TechAmerica's Global Public Policy Committee which focuses on Internet, Internet governance and online services policy issues on a global basis. She also coordinates collaborative activities with extensive ad hoc multi stakeholder companies, NGOs, and individuals interested in Internet Governance. She was a member of ICANN President's Strategy Committee where she led a focus group on accountability. She also is actively engaged in IGF-USA, and in the global IGF, which focuses on key issues related to challenges and issues involving the global Internet and its governance. Ms. Cade has a background that includes a stint in state government, technical, business management and executive positions. She helped to catalyze several initiatives related to self governance, including privacy, child safety, and e-commerce. Many national and global organizations have benefited from her leadership and collaborative style of engagement.
