Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
She became involved in her profession because she was inspired by her parents, who were educators, combined with a desire to help prepare the youth of today to fulfill their potential and become caring, capable, contributing citizens and leaders of tomorrow.
Position Responsibilities and Duties:
Administered all aspects of library management for students and staff of a kindergarten-ninth grade school; Created a new library; Implemented a school library program; Determined collection needs based on the educational core curriculum and recommended recreational reading; Administered budget and purchased all books and materials; Instructed library and research skills to all students on a weekly basis; Collaborated with curriculum coordinator and other educators; Provided curriculum support to staff and also updated colleagues on professional information; Managed library software system; Encouraged student reading with educational incentives
