Extended Bio Profile:
While working with Alta College, Mr. Mashigian helped increase student population by 87.5 percent, and the sales budget increased by 75 percent in his second year with the school system. Alta College was also named as Campus of the Year, chosen out of 17 campuses; this was the first time a college in Texas won this award. Mr. Mashigian drove sales and helped the school become the first profitable Texas campus. Eventually, he led the organization’s largest sales team, operating with the second-largest budget. Before becoming the regional sales director of admissions in 2008, Mr. Mashigian served Alta College as the director of admissions and sales for one year. Without receiving any training from the school, he rallied his team to hit sales goals with only 60 percent of the required manpower. Earlier than this, Mr. Mashigian spent 12 years with Bally Total Fitness. He served as a district manager from 2004 to 2006 in Dallas, Texas. In this position, he implemented new models to aid company restructuring and managed six multimillion-dollar locations. He was responsible for overseeing six general managers and more than 20 sales representatives as he led them toward achieving aggressive monthly and annual sales goals. He also worked with personal training sales, overseeing six part-time directors and more than 60 personal trainers. With regards to retail sales, he managed four retail managers and two lobby stores. In 2005, Mr. Mashigian was able to increase club contribution by 45 percent, transforming $951,000 to $1,379,000. Before working as a district manager, he was a regional supervisor and area vice president, serving in this position from 2002-2004. From 1999 to 2002, he was a district manager in St. Louis, Mo., and between 1997 and 1999, he was a general manager in Dallas, Texas. He began his career with Bally in 1994 as an assistant general manager.
