Mr. Hamilton is a nationally recognized sportscaster who started his career at the age of 18 while he was a U.S. Navy Seaman during the Thanksgiving week of 1945. Throughout the years, he announced for a number of major league teams, including the Cardinals, Chicago Cubs, Chicago White Sox, Atlanta Braves, Pittsburgh Pirates and Houston Astros, where he currently occupies the broadcast booth. Mr. Hamilton was the broadcaster for Hank Aaron's historical 715th home run on April 8, 1974. As a result, his famous words have been echoed time and again whenever the monumental feat is replayed on radio and television. His call was documented as one of the most memorable sports moments of the 20th century.
