He became involved in his position after gaining experience as a lawyer for several oil companies and energy service businesses.
Extended Bio Profile:
Mr. Mitchell has been providing commercial leadership to energy businesses since the early 1990s. In the three years prior to founding Energia Tejas LLC, he served at Acute Technological Services, Inc; a Houston based international energy service company with a subsidiary in Brazil. He managed the growth of the company from 27 employees and $11 million in revenue to 126 employees and $38 million. He was responsible for planning capital budgets and for the execution of strategic objectives. He achieved organic growth of historical service lines in addition to expansions into new markets. Prior to that, he was a partner in the Houston based law firm of Roberts Markel, P.C., which he joined in 1993. There he rapidly built a commercial and business law practice supporting oil and gas companies and oilfield service companies. He counseled start-ups, management buy-outs, acquisitions, divestitures, and companies going through initial and subsequent rounds of debt and equity financing.

Overseeing operations; Managing the acquisition of minerals; Negotiating oil and gas leases; Trading mineral acreage; Producing properties for the company
