She became involved in her profession through her grandparents who were teachers. Her mother was a teacher and she followed the simple footsteps.

Ms. Lockwood was a classroom teacher from 1962 to 1970, title I reading teacher from 1970 to 1977, and special education teacher from 1977 to 1988. She has also worked as a psychometrist, school psychologist, and speech-language therapist from 1988 until the present. She has spent a total of 50 years in the field.
Position Responsibilities and Duties:
Conducting psychoeducational evaluations on students suspected of mental retardation and special needs; Meeting special educational needs
Where Will You Be In 5 Years:
In five years, Ms. Lockwood hopes to get a degree in speech therapy.
