Extended Bio Profile:
LaShawna Heflin is a Registered Nurse with over 11 years of nursing experience in a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). She also has worked on the Post Partum, Labor and Delivery, Newborn Nursery, Pediatrics, and the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit throughout her career. She currently holds a dual Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and Health Care Management from Clayton College and State University of Morrow, GA. Ms. Heflin is the co-founder of Trinity Staffing Resources, LLC (TSR), a federal and commercial contractor that provides medical and administrative professionals to all areas of the government, commercial hospitals and other entities. Trinity Staffing Resources, LLC was founded in April 2009. Her thrive for knowledge and her passion for providing care to patients has afforded her the opportunity to work in various medical centers throughout the United States. Ms. Heflin has a patent pending in 4 countries for a bottle nipple/pacifier and has co-authored 2 published articles which are:
1. “Lactation Space Design: Supporting Evidence-Based
Practice and The Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative,” to be
published in an upcoming issue of Health Environments
Research Design (HERD) Journal.

Recently, Ms. Heflin was a co-speaker at the Health Care Design 2011 Conference held in Nashville, TN November 2011. She has launched a new Baby Basics Class for expectant parents and parents of newborns to teach basic infant care and the prevention of Shaken Baby Syndrome via TSR.

She is currently married to her high school sweetheart and they have one child.
