First "Heartworks" college graduation - at Clemson 2005; That event led to all involved families wanting their own children to follow that example - so, Jubilee Academy became necessary.

She attributes her success to God and His calling.
Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
As a teacher she saw the overwhelming needs of inner city children living in generational poverty. God called upon her to quit the public school system and start Heartworks Ministry in 1998 which led to the creation of Jubilee Academy in 2006 for those children zoned for schools listed on "Worst 25 Schools in the Nation".

Ms. Hensley did teach in the public school system, but quit in 1998 to start the ministry for the inner city children caught in generational poverty. She had a student living with her since he was in the eighth grade and he is now a graduate of Clemson University. In 2006, she started the academy to bring hope to those attending failing schools.
