She attributes her success her dedication to educating health care professionals on treating fibromyalgia and chronic pain patients.
Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
She became involved in her profession because when her husband was studying to become a chiropractor, she decided to become certified and run the office for him. She also sought certification as an X-ray technician. She began to see the benefits that patients were receiving from chiropractic therapies, and she wanted to explore more alternative medicine therapies. She has had fibromyalgia for more than 12 years, and she wanted to dedicate her professional practice to helping others with chronic pain. She was bedridden for four years while having to raise six children. However, she now enjoys all types of outdoor activities. She wants others to know that they can do the same.
Extended Bio Profile:
Ms. Roberts has been a practice administrator for two years and has managed her own business for 10 years. Myostretching Associates is dedicated to instructing other health and wellness professionals in ways to work with fibromyalgia and chronic pain patients. Ms. Roberts owned and operated York Myotherapy for six years before merging with Restored Balance in January 2008. She is the author of “Myostretching for Fibromyalgia,” a specialized pain management program for people with chronic pain conditions.
