She became involved in her profession because she always wanted to work in some aspect of medicine. She was greatly influenced by the orthodontist who did her braces, and also by the dentist who treated her for a jaw tumor that she had in college; he spoke with her about dentistry and gave her the opportunity to shadow him.

Dr. Klassner was among the top 10 students in her graduating class. She treats patients from 3 years of age to 90. On weekends, Dr. Klassner does dental screenings for soldiers who are being deployed. Once a month, she trains residents at Lehigh Valley Hospital.
