She attributes her success to her ability to appreciate things, overcome obstacles, and understand the fear experienced by the Iranian people, especially women, along with her desire to make a difference in people's lives.
Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
She became involved in her profession because she was inspired by her husband, who is a Finnish Consul stationed in Tehran.
Extended Bio Profile:
Ms. Gamer speaks fluent Farsi and Arabic, and worked for the Shah of Iran before her husband was asked to leave the country. At Southern Oregon University, Ms. Gamer is involved with the Founded the United Nations Club, which seeks to educate and inspire students to support the principles and efforts of the United Nations, and to mobilize students to make a global impact at a local level. The UN SOU schedules a full range of events on campus during United Nations Week each October. This year's events include a film series, lectures and discussions, and an address by Stephanie Bunker of the United Nations.
