Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
She became involved in her profession because in college, she knew that she wanted to pursue a career in engineering, working more on physical design, rather than the computer aspects of the field. After receiving a master's degree, she was independently sponsored by Teledyne for an internship, and then she was hired by Tektronix. She then transitioned from engineering to sales, which has been a good fit for her with her engineering and product development background.
Position Responsibilities and Duties:
Managing customer relationships for the medical and automated test markets; Overseeing $15 million in revenue; Managing strategic partnerships to improve sales and collaboration with Fortune 500 companies; Handling research and development, and employee relations; Forming strong collaborative relationships with customers and product development teams
Where Will You Be In 5 Years:
In five years, Ms. Brayton hopes to continue to grow in the field, and in 10 years, she hopes to be at the director level.
