Mr. Ipsen has won recognition for vendor management, project deliverables and cost management performance, development, design and implementation of business transformation strategies, business improvement projects, contract and quality management work.

Among his most successful projects were safe, on-time and successful completion of chimney cap replacements atop 2 x 550' generating station stacks using a heavy-lift helicopter and supporting-worker ferry helicopter, and contract management and ensuring on-time delivery of 3 x 800MW steam turbines (195T each) within less than 50 percent of a normal delivery cycle, in conjunction with manufacturer and project teams.
