She became involved in her profession because of her interest in energy and power systems applications. She began her NASA career at the Glenn Research Center in 1979.

Ms. Gonzalez-Sanabria lives in Strongsville, Ohio with her husband, Rafael. They have two daughters, Naomi and Jessica. She is the author and co-author of more than 30 technical reports and presentations for journals and conferences.
