The highlight of his career was the large body of significant work introduced into the American theater world by the Chelsea Theater Center, representing new American playwrights and major works from the international repertoire. Many of these plays and works have subsequently been published, and continue to have productions all over the world.

He attributes his success to excelling in his field and working well with other artists.
Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
He became involved in his profession after being raised in a music oriented family who exposed him to music, the arts and opera productions throughout his upbringing. He also attended the High School of Music and Art (now part of the La Guardia High School of Performing Arts) as a music major, then when attending Alfred University, he started writing music for plays produced by the theater department. Alfred University changed his life forever, as they put on extravagant plays as they were originally wrote instead of the re-created Broadway versions.

In five years, Mr. Kalfin plans to continue working with projects that interest him. He also plans to get more classics produced.
