The highlight of her career was winning the contest "Songs your Mother Should Hear," which is a Minnesota Christian Organization for her song, "There are Angels."

She attributes her success to her persistence, and the support and encouragement she receives from her husband.
Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
She became involved in her profession because she started singing lessons at the age of 16 and always enjoyed performing arts and singing.
Extended Bio Profile:
Ms. Metrick has sung in many resort hotels in the New York Catskill Mountains and several charity events. She has appeared as an actress on television, several independent films and community theater. She wrote the lyrics and music to a new song she has on the market titled “There Are Angels.” She has sung with a live string orchestra to a wonderful arrangement by Frank Owens, her music director and arranger. That CD is available for downloading on iTunes, http://www.cdbaby.com and http://amazon.com. Her other CD titled “Cheryl Metric Fantasy & Romance” and “There Are Angels” are both available for hard copy sales on the websites, Cdbaby.com and Amazon.com. She is also starring in a Long Island public access television show called “Hit or Miss Variety Show” which airs every Sunday and Tuesday evening on Cablevision channel 20. She also costars on a seriocomedy television pilot called “High Hopes.” She is deeply interested in spirituality and has a large metaphysical library. She is currently collaborating on a book with Jeree Wade, a life coach and fellow singer. The book is being published by Xlibris and is based on 13 inspirational drawings and poems by her and it is expected to be on bookshelves by mid 2010.
