Extended Bio Profile:
As the founder and owner of Body in Balance Physical Therapy & Fitness Center, Ms. Hagan is committed to giving each patient the focused attention he or she needs to address musculoskeletal impairments and set attainable goals. She is experienced in treating a vast range of orthopedic conditions, and specializes in helping patients with spinal pathology, providing treatments that range from prevention through postsurgical therapy. Exposure to a variety of settings and clinical approaches has led Ms. Hagan to value the importance of one-on-one patient care, and she favors a hands-on approach to rehabilitation. She has also found the inclusion of Pilates-based rehabilitation to be an essential key to physical therapy and overall wellness. When Ms. Hagan found herself treating an older population of patients, she joined the Geriatric section of the American Physical Therapy Association to further her knowledge and skills. In 2011, she became a Board Certified Geriatric Specialist (GCS) and a Certified Exercise Expert for the Aging Adult (CEEAA). Her vision for Body in Balance Physical Therapy & Fitness Center is to be an all-inclusive center that addresses the wellness needs of the geriatric population by maintaining a high standard of care that is reflected by evidence-based research and applied clinical practice. Prior to establishing Body in Balance, she was the center manager and a physical therapist for an orthopedic outpatient center in Ventnor, N.J., a staff physical therapist for a large home health care company providing physical therapy to homebound and hospice patients, and the rehabilitation manager and physical therapist in multiple subacute settings in southern New Jersey.
