She became involved in her profession because of her passion for the elderly and experience in taking care of her siblings.
Extended Bio Profile:
Ms. Regier worked in a geriatric care center for 38 years. She has experience working as a staff nurse, MDS coordinator, restorative coordinator, assistant director of nursing and director of nursing. She also worked in a 40-bed local nursing home as an aide. She learned and developed her nursing skills through experience and training.
Position Responsibilities and Duties:
Supervising a 60-bed locked unit for Alzheimer's residents on a shift basis; Overseeing nurses, licensed practical nurses and aides; Managing care for residents; Preparing paperwork; Directing nursing services for a 40-bed facility; Assisting families and residents in the last stage of dying

Registered Nurse; Certification in Gerontology
