Extended Bio Profile:
Ms. Jones retired from the U.S. Navy as a lieutenant commander in 1994. The first woman to serve aboard a warship as a nurse, she was a nurse anesthetist. When she reentered civilian life, Ms. Jones worked as a pediatric anesthetist. Always interested in helping other people, she volunteered in the disaster relief efforts following Hurricane Katrina.
