She became involved in her profession because her parents were always involved politically and encouraged her to vote. Her father is a former mayor and good friends with the governor of North Carolina.
Extended Bio Profile:
Ms. Gerow has been the president of the Alamance County Democratic Women for four years. As the organization's first vice chairwoman, she was instrumental in establishing its local chapter as the largest in the state of North Carolina. She continues to support voting efforts and maintains the organization's headquarters. She retired from the Alamance Burlington School System after 30 years of dedicated service.
