Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
When she was a little girl in grade school 2 school nurses would visit every year to give her and her classmates immunizations because they wanted to make sure they would not get any childhood diseases. Katherine loved the tender love and care they gave to each patient. She was so impressed by everything it inspired her to become a Nurse.

Mentors throughout her career that inspired Ms. Collins professional development were Elaine Geddie and Susan Johnson have inspired Ms. Collins throughout her career. Ms. Johnson cared so much about proper patient care. Ms. Geddie was assertive and made sure the job got done. In addition to being a great Nurse, Ms. Geddie had a very strong finance background which made her a great administrator.
