She became involved in her profession because she was inspired by the plight of her mother, who had a child later in life and did not receive a great deal of support from doctors in the area of women's health.

Where Will You Be In 5 Years:
In five years, Dr. Brett hopes to continue to advocate for women's health, especially in the rural area in which she lives, educate the community, and promote preventive health services. She aims to educate all women about the resources and services available to them in their communities.
