Ms. Silva is also involved in the Mayo Clinic's diversity in education blog. She helps to organize an elementary school for educating second through eighth-grade students. She has presented her research work at many conferences and has published her work in several journals. She has experience as a specimen collector and has also worked in a breast cancer research laboratory.
