Dr. Hernandez-Gallegos, who is known as "Winnie," recently founded her own consulting firm after 17 years of working in philanthropy and another 12 years in government. Her work in philanthropy focused on supporting community development, business development, and education. She intends to create a consortium of individual consultants to develop effective programs for nonprofit organizations.
