What Does He/She Attribute Success To:
She attributes her success to having several artists and jewelry designers throughout her career who have been a source of inspiration and challenge.
Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
As a young child, Ms. Salvucci was inspired by a remarkable aunt to love jewelry. Ms. Salvucci remembers, “My aunt encouraged me to play, create and have fun with beads, buttons, material, feathers, paint and jewelry. This tickled me with an incredible delight when I was a young child. I carry that same feeling within me today when I design jewelry.”

Years later, this led her to explore jewelry making as a hobby. In June, 2007 this led to the development of Sirona Jewelry Designs, an Internet jewelry boutique offering her own distinctive artisan creations, including luxury-beaded jewelry incorporating high quality gemstones with 14k and 18k solid gold.
Extended Bio Profile:
Ms. Salvucci’s creative life has been enhanced by several years of studying acrylic, oil and watercolor painting with Portland, Maine artist Jane Wray, and artist/photographer, Elaine Tselikis.

Living as a New Englander, first in Massachusetts, then New Hampshire and now, Maine, Ms. Salvucci has been influenced by the beauty of the natural world around her. From lakes throughout New England with their deep silent forests and rugged mountains, to the coastline of the Atlantic Ocean, nature has been a significant mentor and companion.

“It’s no surprise” she says, “that jewelry design is an important and on-going part of my creative life. I often dream about natural designs or scenes I sketch during the day, and when I sleep I actually envision what stones, metals and other materials I can use to translate those images into jewelry. I design many pieces of jewelry this way.” Ms. Salvucci has been designing jewelry for 32 years, the last six of which she has done professionally. Ms Salvucci is a self-taught artisan.

Prior to designing jewelry professionally, Ms. Salvucci’s career as a licensed psychotherapist spanned 30 years. She began training for her next career as a life coach in 1997, two years prior to her illness. In 2001, she opened Self Care Connection, LLC, an Internet coaching company, and because of her own chronic illness and disability, as well as her experience as a family caregiver, she began coaching men and women living with chronic illness or who are family caregivers. Since coaching is conducted via the telephone, there are absolutely no geographical limits for clients. People have worked with Ms. Salvucci from the comfort of their home or office.

Two books have cited her work as a personal life coach: "And Thou Shalt Honor: The Caregiver's Companion" by Beth Witrogen McLeod and Rosalynn Carter; and "Chronically Happy: Joyful Living in Spite of Chronic Illness" by Lori Hartwell. She has written four downloadable booklets available at her website: http://www.self-care-online.com/Booklets--Self-Care.html. In addition, her short story was published in The Road to Elsewhere at http://www.amazon.com/Road-Elsewhere-TriciaSpencer/
