Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
She became involved in her profession through her interest in health care. She studied criminal justice while in college, but found that a career in health care would provide a more appropriate avenue for professional development.
Position Responsibilities and Duties:
Operating portable echo test instruments; Working in the intensive care unit; Assisting both outpatients and inpatients, doctors' offices and nursing homes; Operating the new 1E33 Matrix Phillips Echo Machine; Using 3-D echocardiograms; Cleaning TEE probes and changing the solution

In five years, Ms. Guthrie hopes to be an independent echo cardiologist. She is already doing some work independently and hopes to expand this to full time. She is also interested in a position at a company that makes echo cardio machinery.
