He became involved in his profession while he was planning to becoming a doctor, Mr. Santamaria realized that he did not want to help one person at a time; he wanted to effect changes in policy for the population as a whole.
Extended Bio Profile:
At the age of 24, one year after starting in the department as a graduate intern, Mr. Santamaria was appointed as Massachusetts' youngest public health director. He wrote the state's first online training module for local health officers regarding tattoos.

Staying up to date with diseases and vaccines; Making sure the food, air and water are acceptable for community use; Taking care of the health education for the city and emergency planning
