Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
He became involved in his profession because his wife worked in the pharmaceutical industry, and he was intrigued by the financial opportunities that industry had to offer. He started out with Merck Sharp & Dohme Corp. and moved up to the national sales manager position, before transitioning to the marketing area with Biogen Idec.
Position Responsibilities and Duties:
Managing the marketing communications, public planning and statistical analysis for the company's products and adjoining market
trends; Coordinating efforts with the various cross-functional sales, branding and planning committees
Where Will You Be In 5 Years:
In five years, Mr. Steinmann plans to increase his sales and marketing experience, launch new brands, and take on the position of general branding manager.
