Extended Bio Profile:
Dr. Hugh-Jones is a professor emeritus of the department of pathobiological sciences of the School of Veterinary Medicine, and the department of environmental sciences of the School of the Coast & Environment, at the Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. He has participated in several expeditions within his arena, as well. He is a highly published and regarded researcher with more than 50 years of professional experience.
Position Responsibilities and Duties:
Teaching biostatistics and epidemiology to veterinary students; Conducting research and educational programs; Working with the Environmental Protection Agency and SAIC on the study of survival of anthrax spores in soil of different pH levels; Traveling extensively and taking soil samples; Testing; Recording; Reporting; Measuring the dissipation of anthrax due to natural conditions
