Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
He became involved in his profession because of the encouragement of his father. His extensive educational background and experience made him the ideal candidate for pastor when his congregation was formed.
Extended Bio Profile:
Dr. Pohland was a professor in the The University of New Mexico's department of educational administration, where he taught classes on personnel administration, qualitative research, supervision and leadership for 22 years. He spent two years as associate dean of the Division of Learning and Teaching in the College of Education. He developed his own syllabi and as chairman of the Department of Educational Administration, was responsible for the staffing and evaluation of department personnel. Dr. Pohland also taught in and administered elementary schools in St. Louis, Mo. and Belleville, Il. Dr. Pohland was a prolific writer and a frequent conference speaker. His thesis was titled, "An Interorganizational Analysis."

Conducting worship services; Supervising confirmation classes; Offering personal counseling when necessary; Visiting local hospitals; Addressing a congregation that consists of 13 families

In five years, Dr. Pohland expects to retire and become an independent consultant.
