She became involved in her profession because she always wanted to have her own business, but she had to raise three children and her husband had to run his business. The timing became better when her children left the nest.

Ms. Calabrese decided to go into business at the age of 52; she returned to school and became a financial adviser. She loves what she does, and she teaches at Vanier College. Ms. Calabrese is one of the founders of the EB Knowledge Centre, and is committed to teaching quality skills to advisers who wish to work in the group insurance market.
