Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
She became involved in her profession because in 1983, when she took a role as race equality officer in a council, she saw the world in a completely different way, and it changed her life. With the level of injustice she has seen, she has always been one to speak out and challenge it.
Extended Bio Profile:
Ms. Bell has been working in the field of equality and diversity for nearly 30 years. She qualified as a teacher of children with special needs in 1973. In 1983, she became a race equality officer for a local authority. In 1989, she took up the post of equal opportunities officer for the University of Northumbria.

In five years, Ms. Bell hopes to work with a business and see and recognize the change; increase her relationships with business and rebuild her business; and ensure that the private sector companies recognize their responsibilities toward the Equality Act of 2010.
