Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
She became involved in her profession because from an early age; she realized that she had a natural aptitude toward assisting people to relax and feel better by listening, speaking with them and providing hands-on care.
Extended Bio Profile:
Ms. Smith's pursuit of consciousness began in 1972 through her training with the Institute of Applied Metaphysical. Since then she has studied, practiced, and taught many conventional and not-so conventional approaches to religion, philosophy, meditation, yoga, and energy-based healing modalities. Concurrently, she has provided support services and programming to people with developmental and other disabilities, including specialized relaxation techniques, sign language interpreting for the deaf, and opportunities for Jewish people to learn about practice and celebrate Jewish life. She is a freelance writer, musician and artist specializing in scrapbooking, and acrylic on canvas contemporary painting using lots colors and movement. She created a technique of hand-painting, where she pours the paint onto the canvas and then drums the paint into the canvas with her hands. She is passionate about teaching these techniques to others and assisting new artists in freeing their creativity. She continues to be of service to humanity as an international teacher, consultant, lecturer, and coach. She is available to create specialized programs for all ages to match the specific needs of organizations, groups and individuals. She has always held the vision of a peaceful world inhabited by a loving population and she is committed to the manifestation of this vision. Ms. Smith is currently hosting a one hour weekly radio show on Voice America Variety "Come Back to Your Senses" providing information and experiences to help you recover your common sense, decrease your stress and increase your sense of well-being.
