She became involved in her profession after gaining experience working in the field of medical technology and laboratory administration.
Extended Bio Profile:
Among her many accomplishments, Ms. Topham is credited with coordinating the design of several outpatient laboratories and remodeling inpatient laboratories to meet the changing needs of health care providers and staff, and with successfully negotiating a major contract to provide services to more than 40 physician clients in a primary care network. She also redesigned the concept of "laboratory management" from a traditional subspecialty view to progressive, enabled empowerment of front line staff members, and actively coached a multi-level management team through work process redesign, enabling a 35 percent reduction in staff while increasing the scope of service.

Providing Operational Support for a 34-Member Pathology Group with Several Subspecialists, Managing Compliance, Monitoring Legal and Risk Issues, Building Services, Overseeing a Multi-State Transcription Pool and Client Servces Department, Credentialing for 34 Physicians, Monitoring Quality Assurance for 15 Laboratory Sites, Overseeing a Tissue Banking Service for Three Locations
