Extended Bio Profile:
Mr. Brunkow has been involved in bioprocess manufacturing since 1980. At Eli Lilly and Company, he worked in production and engineering management and was involved in technology transfer including processing scale-up, facilities design and construction and startup as a senior engineering consultant, prior to his retirement in 2000. While at Lilly, he was involved in three different insulin production facility scale-up designs, three other protein process facility designs and startups, a biosynthetic enzyme facility design and construction of a mammalian cell process facility. He has consulted with smaller biotechnology manufacturing companies since retirement. He was involved with the design of the contract manufacturing facility for the Cook Pharmica as a director of technology and strategic planning. He retired in 2000 from the Center for Integrated BioSystems, which was located in the Utah State University. He also served in the United States Air Force from 1969 to 1973.
