Extended Bio Profile:
Dr. Blue came to the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation in 2008 after relocating from Cincinnati, Ohio, where she served as a program officer for the Gates Foundation’s Small Schools Initiative at KnowledgeWorks Foundation. In that capacity, Dr. Blue provided professional development and technical assistance for teachers and leaders of small schools in the state of Ohio. Before working in the nonprofit sector, Dr. Blue enjoyed a career in higher education student affairs, serving as the director of Women Student Services at The Ohio State University and coordinator of the African American Student Center at Washington State University. In addition to serving as chief diversity officer for the Evansville-Vanderburgh School Corporation, Dr. Blue is an adjunct professor at the Center for Adult Education at the University of Evansville. She teaches Diversity and Social Justice, a master's-level course in the school's Public Service Administration program.

Creating and implementing a comprehensive and collaborative vision for diversity; Working on the professional development of teachers and staff through the use of technology; Ensuring equity and inclusion within district policies and processes across all areas of the school corporation; Teaching diversity strategies; Conducting workshops; Dealing with parent and staff issues
