Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
She became involved in her profession after working in a customer service position with National Office Furniture. From there, she went on to serve as the company's director of sales operations for 16 years, and transitioned to the human resources department to help the company move in the right direction from a people standpoint.
Position Responsibilities and Duties:
Directing the company's human resources operations; Partnering with the business to make the company an "employer of choice"; Fulfilling HR functions as related to the company's 1,300 employees; Overseeing a team of five direct reports, which includes four human resource managers and a human resource administrator with teams under them; Developing and implementing strategic policies for communications, recruiting and cultural development
