She attributes her success to her parents, who instilled in her the value of education. Growing up, there was never a doubt in her mind that she would go to college. Her parents encouraged her and introduced her to many different things, which taught her that she would fit in wherever she was.
Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
She became involved in her profession because she wanted to be a teacher since she was 5 years old. Also, she was inspired by her first grade and high school biology teachers.

Ms. Tyler enjoys teaching science. She has taught for the past four years and has been able to learn a great deal herself. She has found that communicating concepts to students and developing their interest in the subject has been a real joy.
