He attributes his success to the example and influence of his parents; their passion for helping people gave him the drive to do the same.
Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
He became involved in his profession because his parents were physicians in the Philippines; he accompanied his father when he visited areas without doctors, which gave him the desire to practice medicine where he could help people who had no access to health care.

Where Will You Be In 5 Years:
In five years, Dr. Acebedo plans to continue doing what he loves-helping people, especially critical care patients. He also hopes to help his hospital develop a better method to manage blood sugar levels in diabetics and improve general patient care.
