Ms. Miller currently works two days per week. As a former hospital nurse, Ms. Miller has experience in medical surgery nursing, oncology, intravenous therapy and pain management. After working for 30 years in a hospital setting, Ms. Miller decided to go into home health care. Previous patients have included an autistic infant, who is now seven years old. American Home Health offers traditional in-home health care services whereby a nurse, therapist or aide will make a visit to a patient's home to provide specific treatments. These visits typically last 30 to 60 minutes and may occur as infrequently as once a month or as frequently as several times a week. The frequency and treatments depend on the patient's physician's orders and how much time the patient's insurance provider approves.
