She attributes her success to taking a chance and trying something out of her field, putting in the effort, and persistence.
Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
She became involved in her profession because she was am Emergency Medical Technician for 23 years. She went back to college for nursing, but determined she didn't want to do nursing. She posted her resume and a consulting company called her. They wanted her expertise of 23 years in the emergency room and they taught her the system.
Position Responsibilities and Duties:
Traveling to hospitals where needed; Inputting computer systems; Analyzing paper documents; Getting physicians' information set up; Teaching physicians how to put orders in; Training Staff; Teaching nurses how to look for the orders; Making computer documentation work for the hospitals
Where Will You Be In 5 Years:
In five years, Ms. Hauversburk hopes to obtain a bachelor's degree, learn other modules besides emergency room, and be marketable in other modules.
