Extended Bio Profile:
Ms. Waikoloa began running Hawaii Audiology Consultants Inc. in July 2009, when her aunt fell ill. In July 2011, after her aunt's death, she left her position as a music specialist at Kalihi Waena Elementary School to run the business full time. Always a dedicated educator, Ms. Waikoloa piloted a Guitars in The Classroom project for teachers on the island of Oahu in April and May 2011. She also ran the Music4Kids after-school program for the Hawaii Symphony Orchestra in 2011. Moreover, Ms. Waikoloa served for seven years as the coach of the Roosevelt High School canoe paddling team. At the elementary school, her responsibilities included teaching reading to gifted fifth-grade students, organizing schoolwide programs, directing the chorus program, teaching kindergarten through fifth-grade students, mentoring new teachers and managing the school morale department.
