She attributes her success to her incredible husband, who is very supportive of her, and her boss, who pushes and continues to push her. She also credits her strong work ethic, and the fact that as a former immigrant, she understands what clients go through in the legal process. She wants to help them with their futures.
Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
She became involved in her profession because she was inpsired by her own experience with the immigration process. While she was a student, she was a victim of an unscrupulous lawyer. She later found a great lawyer who inspired her.
Position Responsibilities and Duties:
Handling complex employment-based immigration, family immigration and citizenship cases; Submitting filings with the Department of Labor; Working with immigrants from all over the world
Where Will You Be In 5 Years:
In five years, Ms. Zaman plans to stay with a small firm, and eventually sees herself enjoying the added freedom of running her own practice.
