He became involved in his profession by an act of God. He previously worked in business and was called into education. He began as a mathematics and science teacher at a school that specialized in learning disabilities.

In five years, Mr. McKay would like to see the school receive the Distinction Bronze Award for CRTCs and be recognized as one of the 23 schools in the state.
